France and Normandy with Viking was wonderful!

Pros: Wonderful staff and itinerary. Excellent service and food; beautiful ship

Cons: Late pick up at airport ( 1 hour late) for pre-stay.

We loved all the ports. Food and drinks were fabulous. We were blessed with beautiful weather. Viking does a wonderful job of making the cruise both relaxing at times and still doing and seeing a lot. We thought the guides were very good with the exception of one tour...but the tour itself was still enjoyable. When buses were used for transport they were comfortable. Our stateroom was gorgeous and kept immaculate by our steward. Viking had warm washcloths and a beverage whenever we came back from an excursion. Enrichment lectures/activities were good. Music was good also. The only con was that the Viking rep was not there when we arrived at the airport (20 minutes late) -she apologized and said she was meeting another plane. Also, the driver to pick us up was an hour late! Traffic was light and it was a Sunday morning, so not sure why this happened and no explanation was given. This is unlike Viking. We still think they are the best cruise line we have taken and we have cruised on many cruises with several cruise lines.
